Who is Jacob Stroud? 

Jacob Stroud was a very early settler in the Pocono area in the 1700’s. He married, raised a very large family, and developed very much of the Stroudsburg area. He was a soldier, businessman, and frontiersman all while taking care of his family. Jacob Stroud is a beloved figure in Stroudsburg history whose contributions to the area are far reaching and everlasting.
